Beth Cobden is one of the Vitality Roses’ most decorated stars. Her incredible career in netball has seen her win Commonwealth Games gold with England and pick up five Netball Super League titles with two different Clubs. The majority of her career has been spent at Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Super League across two different stints and, after making her international debut in 2016, she has 48 caps for England, with whom she is currently busy preparing for yet another upcoming international season.
But as a woman with a life outside of netball, Beth shares how she has plans for a family and what that looks like as a female athlete.
“There’s so much now that I am discovering that I just knew nothing about.”
Beth opens up about navigating the challenge of knowing you want to have a family, whilst also being a high-performing female athlete with a desire to play into your thirties.
To her, it’s the importance of education around the challenges that could potentially come with this type of female health situation, so each person can prepare and be aware of the options they have for their body.
